Reindeer Herder’s Day

Immerse yourself in the everyday life of a Sámi reindeer herder.

The day begins at our farm and continues with a snowmobile journey to the reindeer herd. You will sit comfortably in a sledge while the herder drives, allowing you to relax and enjoy the stunning Arctic scenery. The distance from the farm to the herd varies between 5–12 km.

Once we reach the herd, we will feed the reindeer, giving you a wonderful opportunity to observe and photograph them in their natural environment.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a cozy break by an open fire with a cup of coffee or tea and homemade pastries.

Throughout the day, you will gain an authentic insight into the life of a Sámi reindeer herding family, learning about our traditions, stories, and the deep connection between people and reindeer.
